Leon has significant offshore and onshore experience advising private equity and hedge fund managers, banks and corporations on fund establishment, investment structuring and operational issues. He also has a broad background in corporate finance and commercial matters, having advised on M&A, listings and business contracts in various industries.
A former client praises Leon’s “ability to provide clear advice even in complex situations”. Leon has advised the Boards of Directors of offshore funds on fund operation and investor-related issues. Having qualified as a lawyer in 1999 in Australia, prior to joining Collas Crill Leon worked at SJ Berwin and Kirkland & Ellis in London and as a director and counsel for a large fund management company. The broad remit of this role encompassed fund structuring, on and offshore regulatory/compliance matters and group corporate advice.
