Originally from Jersey, where he was born and educated, Robert is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 25 years financial services experience. He has held a number of senior financial service roles in Jersey, Kuala Lumpur and London, before he relocated to Singapore in 2012.

 

Robert is a specialist in the use of Jersey structures for UK real estate investment, fund and wealth management activities, and IPOs on the London Main and AIM markets. He also holds considerable experience and expertise in trust, corporate and fund administration services.

John is responsible for building Cenkos’ business in Asia. He has spent more than twenty years in the investment management and investment banking industries, based in Europe and Asia. He has extensive experience in capital raisings globally, across a range of sectors and countries. John previously held positions as Head of Research and co-Head of Asia ex-Japan for Schroder Securities and was later Head of Asia Pacific Equity Research for Schroder Investment Management. He is a co-founder of AnaLec, an Indian-based provider of software systems for investment banks.

 

John graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Engineering Science. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds an MBA and an MSc from Henley Business School. John has an ongoing interest in how markets operate and has lectured in finance at business schools in the UK and Asia.

Tat Seng Koh is currently the Executive Director/Group CFO of MayAir Group plc and was instrumental in the successful listing of MayAir on AIM, London Stock Exchange in 2015. He was formerly the CFO of PureCircle Ltd and was with that company when it was admitted to AIM in 2007. Prior to joining PureCircle Limited, he has accumulated over 13 years’ experience in investment banking and corporate finance and was involved in various corporate exercises including IPO’s, debt and equity fund raisings, merger & acquisitions and reverse take-overs.

 

He was Head of Corporate Finance at Avenue Securities SdnBhd (a member of ECM Libra Avenue Group) and Associate Director of Corporate Finance of CIMB Investment Bank Berhad, the leading investment bank in Malaysia. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Malaya in 1990 and immediately started his career with Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers).

Tom has extensive experience of advising on cross-border M&A, corporate finance, private equity and general commercial work. He has acted on a range of public takeovers, private M&A transactions in the UK, Europe, Africa and Asia as well as numerous primary and secondary equity offerings.

 

Tom has been based in Singapore for several years, having previously worked in London and Paris at another major international law firm. He speaks French fluently.

 

Since moving to Singapore, Tom’s focus has been on emerging markets M&A. In recent years, Tom has advised clients on their M&A opportunities across much of South and Southeast Asia, including Myanmar where he has advised numerous companies and professional services providers on their strategic investments into the country. Tom has written articles in several legal journals and co-authored the recently published English law section of Gesellschaftsrecht des Auslands (Corporate Laws of the World).

A Funds specialist, Leon Santos is a group partner in Collas Crill’s Singapore office.

 

Leon has significant offshore and onshore experience  advising private equity and hedge fund managers, banks and corporations on fund establishment, investment structuring and operational issues. He also has a broad background in corporate finance and commercial matters, having advised on M&A, listings and business contracts in various industries.

 

A former client praises Leon’s “ability to provide clear advice even in complex situations”. Leon has advised the Boards of Directors of offshore funds on fund operation and investor-related issues. A non-executive director of one fund said: “Leon has been in a difficult political and economic climate, a valued advisor including the handling of a complicated restructuring; he is knowledgeable, alive to the business climate issues and a pleasure to work with.”

 

Having qualified as a lawyer in 1999 in Australia, prior to joining Collas Crill Leon worked at SJ Berwin and Kirkland & Ellis in London and as a director and counsel for a large fund management company. The broad remit of this role encompassed fund structuring, on and offshore regulatory/compliance matters and group corporate advice.

Robin is a partner in our London office and heads our corporate finance team specialising in capital market transactions in China and South East Asia. He has extensive experience in corporate advisory and reporting assignments for emerging businesses including raising development capital, due diligence investigations, management buy outs, capital reconstructions, business valuations and pre-flotation planning.

 

Robin has been the assignment partner responsible for advising on many acquisitions by public and private companies, in the UK and overseas and for IPO’s on the main and secondary market involving companies in North America, China, S E Asia and China. In addition Robin has acted in connection with the IPO’s for companies operating in Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong. He has been involved in advising clients on privatisation issues and undertaking international due diligence and valuation assignments”
